Pearl Matteson played the roles of Humpty Dumpty, Duloc Dancer, Tapping Rat, Three Blind Mice, and Bird That Explodes in Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre's production of Shrek: The Musical. Additionally, Pearl Matteson portrayed Deorwynn Miller/ Fight Captain/ Dance Captain/ Intimacy Captain in the theater’s production of Ken Ludwig's Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood.
Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood
Pearl Matteson not only portrayed Deorwynn Miller but also took on the roles of Alize, Fight Captain, Dance Captain, and Intimacy Captain. She dedicated time before rehearsals to learn, review, and contribute to Paul Dennhardt’s Fight Direction, continually refining her own skills.
Certified in stage combat by the British Academy of Dramatic Combat in small sword, rapier, and dagger, and hand-to-hand combat, Pearl played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of her fellow cast and crew during performances. She led fight calls and conducted intimacy checks, demonstrating her commitment to maintaining a secure and professional theatrical environment.
Shrek: The Musical
Under the direction of the talented Quin Gresham and with choreography by Phillip Attmore, Pearl Matteson began her journey with Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre in Shrek: The Musical as Humpty Dumpty. Following the conclusion of her run in Shrek, she was asked to return to Arrow Rock, Missouri. Later in the season, Pearl would once again grace the stage in Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood.
